![]() ![]() This shouldn't prove to be a problem, when Hillar bought the green/gold 2+2 from me we just used the standard template. So, if someone buys the Firebird body, they're just going to get a Bill of Sale which may be the standard template, or on a napkin. Proof of insurance and the OPI were required to register it. I might also add that I was able to add it to my auto insurance policy even before I bought the truck. Then took the OPI report to the registry (which here are privatized so they're all over the place) and walked out with a plate and registration. We put all new brakes on it, replaced all the vacuum, fuel, heater and rad hoses, replaced the windshield, etc and it passed the OPI. As the VIN was not in Alberta's database, nor did it show up as stolen in another province, to register it I just needed to have it pass an Out of Prince Inspection (OPI), which is pretty much standard safety stuff. Alberta's database goes back to about 1982 when it was computerized, and the truck had not been registered in Alberta in that time, nor in another province. He bought it at a farm auction, again with only a Bill of Sale. In 2010 I bought my 72 GMC pickup from a buddy of mine with the standard Bill of Sale template provided by Alberta Registries - but realistically anything would have been sufficient. Mike is correct, we do not have titles here in Alberta. I DON'T HEAR OF MANY PEOPLE EVER HAVING ANY PROBLEMS WITH IT. THAT CAN BE DONE AT A REGISTRY OFFICE OR WITH THE POLICE. IT IS UP TO THE BUYER TO DO DUE DILIGENCE AND CHECK THAT THE VIN HAS NOT BEEN REPORTED STOLEN OR HAVE LIENS OR SUCH THINGS AGAINST IT. THAT IS BASICALLY WHAT THE BILL OF SALE IS, IT JUST SHOWS THAT YOU BOUGHT AND PAID FOR THE CAR. Frieght on large items (bed floors, etc) is estimated and may change based on shipping location. Please note that all freight shipments MUST be inspected prior to the driver leaving. Our Freight Shipping Policy applies to this item. DO YOU GET "OWNERSHIP" OR A "TITLE" WHEN YOU BUY A PACK OF GUM? NO YOU GET A RECIEPT. 1969 Chevy Camaro or Pontiac Firebird Door Shell Passenger Side (RH) PART: DYN1076E 325.44. IF YOU TRIED GETTING REGISTRATION FOR A VEHICLE THAT WAS REPORTED STOLEN, WHEN THE REGISTRATION OFFICE ENTERED THE VIN IN THE COMPUTER TO TIE IT TO YOUR PLATE (IT IS ACTUALLY THE LICENCE PLATE # THAT GETS REGISTERED TO THE CAR), IT WOULD COME UP AS STOLEN AND YOU WOULD HAVE SOME EXPLAINING TO DO. YOU JUST NEED PROPER INSURANCE AND REGISTRATION IF YOU ARE GOING TO OPERATE IT ON A PUBIC ROADWAY.
